Sport after childbirth: start slow

It’s important to give yourself time to recover after the birth. Wait for at least eight weeks after the birth until you start exercising again. If you’re training with the aim of losing weight, a healthy target is to lose 500 grams a week. Your body will let you know if you’re overdoing it. Listen to your body and adapt your regime as necessary. It’s important that you feel fit and healthy – for you and your baby.
