You’re not alone

25% – It is estimated that one in four adults in Switzerland have high blood pressure.1

50% – From the age of 60, this figure rises to one in two people.1

Dangerous and often unnoticed

High blood pressure sneaks up on you and, if it goes unnoticed for long enough, can cause considerable damage to the body. To make sure this doesn’t happen, it’s a good idea to take your blood pressure regularly.

Prevention is better than cure

You can prevent high blood pressure by adopting a healthy lifestyle, e.g. eat a balanced diet and exercise regularly. Obesity, smoking and stress, on the other hand, increase the risk of high blood pressure and should be avoided.

Living with high blood pressure

Once high blood pressure sets in permanently, your daily life will feature regular measurements, changes in lifestyle and often also medication, all of which bring a whole new set of challenges.

  1. Doris is 58 years old. She has just been diagnosed with high blood pressure, and her doctor has told her what she now has to bear in mind:
  2. Daily medication, blood pressure measurements twice a week, a healthy diet and more exercise. Doris wonders how she’s going to keep on top of it all.
  3. The Sanitas Coach helps Doris manage her illness. It reminds her to take her medication and measure her blood pressure, analyses her values and gives her diet and exercise tips.
  4. As the Sanitas Coach is a certified medical device, Doris can be sure that the information is reliable and that the personalised feedback she receives comes from a trusted source.
  5. She receives dynamic and motivating goals for a healthy lifestyle – made possible through the connection of wearables, Apple Health and Google Fit.
  6. Thanks to the Sanitas Coach, Doris has her blood pressure under control and she can significantly reduce her risk of heart disease. So she has more time for her grandchildren
