Terms of participation

  • Recommendations as part of the “Recommend Sanitas” marketing campaign can only be made by natural persons age 18 and over who already have basic and/or supplementary insurance with Sanitas (Sanitas Grundversicherungen AG and Sanitas Privatversicherungen AG)
  • The person that is recommended must be a new customer who is age 18 or over and resident in Switzerland. People who already have basic and/or supplementary insurance with Sanitas are not deemed to be new customers.         
  • The following groups of people are excluded from the “Recommend Sanitas” marketing campaign:
    • Sanitas customers with temporary insurance cover of up to 12 months (e.g.
      short-term residents and seasonal workers)
    • Customers taking out insurance for their children under the legal age
    • Employees of the Sanitas Group
  • Participation/recommendation takes place exclusively via the personalised recommendation link sent to Sanitas customers by email.
  • Only one referrer can be counted per recommendation.        
  • If a person who is recommended takes out at least one supplementary insurance plan pursuant to VVG/IPA (insurance must be taken out in the Sanitas system), the Sanitas customer who made the recommendation will receive CHF 50. No reward is offered for new customers who take out only basic insurance (KVG/HIA). Insurance plans that have already been taken out cannot be reported retrospectively to the referral programme.
  • The existing Sanitas customer will receive the payment in accordance with the payment information on file as soon as the policy for the new contract has been issued. Sanitas is free of all obligations upon payment of the monetary amount.       
  • By agreeing to these terms of participation, the existing Sanitas customer and the new customer agree to their details (name, address, email, phone number, details of requested insurance cover) being used in particular to make contact, create a quote/policy, to pay the monetary amount and for marketing purposes (emails, information on products and services). The existing customer and new customer can at any time revoke consent to the use of their personal details by sending an email to datenschutz@sanitas.com or writing to Sanitas Privatversicherungen AG, Jägergasse 3, 8004 Zurich.
  • No correspondence will be entered into regarding the marketing campaign. Sanitas is entitled at any time to modify the marketing campaign or, if there are solid grounds for doing so, to suspend, abandon or prematurely end it. Sanitas is also entitled at any time to replace the monetary payment with new compensation or gifts.
  • Furthermore, Sanitas reserves the right to exclude participants from the marketing campaign if they are suspected of having or found to have abused and/or violated these terms of participation, or on other solid grounds.    
  • The company’s decision is final.
