New outpatient medical tariff: Tardoc and outpatient flat rates
From 2026, Tardoc and outpatient flat rates will replace the previous medical tariff Tarmed. Here is a summary of the most important changes.
What changes with the new tariff system?
The changeover primarily affects how services are recorded by your doctor and billed to your health insurer. The focus is on modernisation and simplification. With Tardoc, up-to-date items are being added – for example medical consultations by email or text message.
What does this mean for you?
For you as a patient, the availability and quality of medical care remain unchanged. There is, however, one small change that allows us to process submitted invoices more quickly and more accurately: Your reclaim vouchers may include an additional page with QR codes. Please submit this page to Sanitas as usual so that we can process your invoice promptly and correctly.
Good to know: As medical practices and hospitals are changing over their IT systems, it may take longer in some cases to receive your invoice at the beginning.
