What devices does the Sanitas app support?
The Sanitas app has been designed for use on smartphones. The app runs on Android and Apple operating systems.
Version 4.1 or higher is required; the Sanitas app is not compatible with Android tablets. Google Playstore
Version 8.0 or higher is required; the Sanitas app is compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, optimised for use with iPhone 5, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. App Store
The Sanitas app is currently not available for Windows smartphones.
Open the Sanitas app on your smartphone and log in. Tap the navigation symbol in the top left corner and then the gear symbol. Activate the checkboxfor the shake function (green). Your insurance card will now be displayed on your screen when you shake your smartphone. The app needs to be open, but you don’t have to be logged in.
The Sanitas app automatically adopts the general language settings of your smartphone, i.e. if you want to change language in the app, you have to change the language setting of your smartphone.
If a language is not supported, the Sanitas customer portal app is set to German by default.
How to change your smartphone’s language setting:

Scans that haven’t been sent can be deleted as follows under "Documents":
Swipe from right to left over the scan job and press the delete button.
Press and hold the chosen scan until the context menu appears. Then choose "Delete".
To use the full range of the Sanitas app’s services, the app needs access to various device functions, such as location, gallery and camera.
If you want to use only the basic functions of the Sanitas app, you can deactivate authorisations (location, gallery, camera) in your smartphone settings. You’ll still be able to access personal data such as premiums, invoices and insurance card.
No. The customer portal and Sanitas app are connected, which is why your login details apply for both applications. If you deregister from the customer portal, you can’t log in to the app any more. However, you can choose to use only the app. You don’t have to use the customer portal.
Yes. With the Sanitas app, you can still contact the medical hotline directly while abroad. You can dial all important phone numbers directly from the app. This means you don’t have to spend time searching for a number in an emergency. Please note that roaming costs may be charged abroad.

No. You use the scan function in the Sanitas app to send in reclaim vouchers.
