Devices for inhalation and respiratory therapy support people partially or completely with breathing – devices include, for example, oxygen therapy devices, devices for treating breathing disorders during sleep or ventilators that support or replace the respiratory function. 

If the conditions set out in the list of medical aids and devices are met, basic health insurance covers the cost in accordance with the legally agreed amount.

Stoma products are special medical aids for people with a stoma, i.e. a surgically created opening in the body to be able to pass urine or stool, for example due to severe bowel or urinary tract diseases.
