Recruit school isn’t a walk in the park. You have to be prepared for little sleep, strict rules and a tough programme. One big challenge is a long march wearing a rucksack weighing 10 kg. Be sure to break in your military shoes before starting. You’ll find it a lot easier if you’re physically fit when you start. Viktor Röthlin’s running coaching programme is a great way to prepare.
The post office delivers parcels weighing up to 5 kg that are sent to military addresses free of charge. All you have to do is write “Feldpost” (military post) on the address label. Let your family and friends know your military address – and why not include a wish list for your snack pack! Receiving post is a great way of boosting your motivation.
