  • I currently receive my documents by post. What are the benefits of the digital inbox?

    The digital inbox ensures you receive your documents quickly, easily and securely. You have access to your documents at any time, regardless of where you are. If you do happen to need a print-out of a particular document, you can order it easily via the digital inbox.

  • I don’t want to use the Sanitas Portal. Would the digital inbox be an option for me?

    Yes, the digital inbox is a good alternative. It is easier to use than the Portal, because it only contains your digital documents. Documents that contain sensitive data are only uploaded to the digital inbox, and you are notified by email. You only need your email address and mobile phone number to access your documents. You don’t need a password.

  • What log-in security levels are there?

    To log in, you simply have to click on the link in the email. You will then be sent a text message code that you enter to log in.

  • What is the difference between the Sanitas portal and the digital inbox?

    The digital inbox is used exclusively for receiving documents. The Sanitas Portal offers other options, such as a feature to upload your documents, our handy Cover Check, and the health area with over 40 health services and offers.

  • How can I sign up for the digital inbox?

    Scan the QR code in your letter or enter the link manually in the browser. Then enter or verify your details. If your registration is successful, you will receive a welcome email.

  • I already use my email address for my children’s portal access. Can I use the same email address to sign up for the digital inbox?

    Unfortunately not. Only one access is possible per email address. To use the digital inbox, you will have to sign up with a different email address.

  • Scan the QR code or enter the link manually in the browser. Then you can easily order a new letter online.  

  • I’m not 18 years of age. Can I use the digital inbox?

    Unfortunately not. You have to be at least 18 years of age to use the digital inbox.

  • My partner has the digital inbox and manages the documents for us both as the head of family. Can I set up my own access?

    Unfortunately not. Only the head of family can set up the digital inbox and manage it for all members. Reception via the digital inbox applies to all family members.

  • Why do I need an email address to sign up?

    Your email address is used to send some documents directly as attachments. Documents with sensitive data can be accessed via a link in the email. You can use this link to access the digital inbox and open the documents there. 

  • Why do I need a mobile phone number to sign up?

    Your mobile phone number is used as an additional security factor to log in to the digital inbox.

  • I’d like to receive all my documents by post again in the future. What do I have to do?

    Open the digital inbox via one of the emails that you’ve received. You can then unsubscribe from the digital inbox under “Edit profile”.

  • Can I go directly to the Portal from the digital inbox?

    Open the digital inbox via one of the emails you’ve received recently. You can switch to the Sanitas Portal for free under “Edit profile”.

  • I’ve unsubscribed from the digital inbox. Do I still have access to my old documents?

    Unfortunately not. For security reasons, access expires when you unsubscribe.
     Therefore, please download all the documents you need before unsubscribing. It is best to save them on your computer or smartphone.

  • My email address or mobile phone number has changed. How can I edit my details in the digital inbox?

    If you still have access to your old email address or mobile phone number, open the digital inbox via one of the emails you’ve received. You can then change your email address or mobile phone number under “Edit profile”. If you no longer have access to your old email address or mobile phone number, please contact our customer service team. 

  • What can I do if I don’t receive a code or receive the wrong code by text message?

    First check whether you have entered the correct mobile phone number. The last 4 digits of the number are shown. If the number is incorrect or you haven’t received a code despite having the correct number, please contact our customer service team.

  • I’m on the Sanitas website, and I can’t find the log-in for the digital inbox. I don’t currently have an email to hand.

    On the Sanitas website, click on “Services” at the top of the screen. You will find the log-in page for the digital inbox in the third column under “Customer portal & apps”.

  • How can I order a document to be printed and sent to me?

    Open the digital inbox via one of the emails that you’ve received. Find the document that you want to order. To the right of this you will find the 3-point menu. Click on it and choose “Order document”.

  • How can I print out a document myself at home?

    Open the digital inbox via one of the emails that you’ve received. Find the document that you want to print out. To the right of this you will find the 3-point menu. Click on it and choose “Download”. You can then open the document on your computer and print it out at home.

  • How can I download a document and save it on my PC?

    Open the digital inbox via one of the emails that you’ve received. Find the document that you want to save. To the right of this you will find the 3-point menu. Click on it and choose “Download”. You can then open the document on your computer.

  • How long are documents stored in the digital inbox?

    You can find documents from the last two years in the digital inbox. 

  • Why do I still receive some documents by post or as an email attachment when I use the digital inbox?

    In the digital inbox, you receive documents with data that is particularly sensitive. They have to be sent in encrypted form. Other documents, however, such as premium invoices, don’t contain sensitive data. These are therefore sent directly as an email attachment. Other documents, such as reminders, still have to be sent by post. This is prescribed by law. 

  • How do I know that I’ve received a new document in the digital inbox?

    As soon as there is a new document available for you in the digital inbox, you will be sent an email with an access link. 

  • How can I change the language of the digital inbox?

    You can change the language directly in the digital inbox at the bottom left-hand corner of the screen.

  • I’ve terminated my insurance with Sanitas. Can I still use the digital inbox for my old documents and those I receive after the termination date?

    Yes, you have access to the digital inbox for 6 months after your termination. You will then receive your documents by post.

  • I’d like to submit a document. Can I do that in the digital inbox?

    Unfortunately not. You can only submit documents via the Sanitas Portal or by post.

  • I’ve got questions about the digital inbox. Where can I find help?
