In everyday life, our metabolism often affects us more than we realise: Do you feel energised or tired after eating? Do you gain weight quickly, or does your weight remain stable? As with stress, there isn’t just one type of metabolism. And each type responds differently to food, exercise and daily routine.

Fast metabolic type

People with this metabolic type have a high basal metabolic rate and burn energy quickly. Carbohydrates are metabolised efficiently and provide a steady supply of energy. Weight gain is rarely an issue, as excess energy is easily burned off.

Selective metabolic type

This type feels best on a diet rich in protein and healthy fats. Carbohydrates, on the other hand, can often lead to fatigue and energy slumps. Choosing the right nutrients more consciously can support greater stability and performance in everyday life.

Mixed metabolic type

Balance is key for this type. A combination of carbohydrates, proteins and fats is usually best tolerated. An unbalanced diet can quickly lead to fluctuations in performance. This type benefits from a balanced, flexible approach to nutrition.

Resistant metabolic type

This type often finds it more difficult to lose weight. The metabolism tends to run more slowly, and carbohydrates are often less well tolerated. A personalised diet and regular exercise can help regulate energy levels and weight.
