Organise your digital consultation with the Sanitas Medgate app. Medgate is one of the biggest healthcare networks in Switzerland. You can book an appointment for a telemedical consultation and treatment up to 48 hours in advance. A Medgate doctor will contact you at the chosen time by phone or video link.

The Medgate app for Sanitas customers

The Sanitas Medgate app is your direct link to Medgate. The app offers useful functions, making it really easy to get medical advice whenever you need it. You receive a summary in the app after each consultation and treatment, so you have all the information you need in one place.

Make an appointment

You can book an appointment for a telemedical consultation and treatment up to 48 hours in advance. The app automatically shows you the next available appointments. A Medgate doctor will contact you at the chosen time.

Phone call or video consultation

Depending on the situation, it may be important for the doctor to see you during the consultation. This is possible using the video consultation. You can also use the app to send photos and other documents to your Medgate doctor. Connection to the Sanitas Medgate app is secure, and all data is sent in encrypted form.

Choose your favourite doctor

After your consultation you can rate the advice you received. If you were happy with your Medgate doctor, you can set him or her as your favourite doctor. When you next make an appointment, this doctor will be available for selection.

Treatment plan

After each consultation you receive a summary of the treatment in the app. This includes the medical recommendation of your Medgate doctor, the duration of treatment and the doctors providing treatment. Your doctor sends medical prescriptions to a pharmacy of your choice. If your treatment is extended or you are referred to another doctor, you can adjust your treatment plan directly in the app.

Do you want to use the Sanitas Medgate app?

Use of the Sanitas Medgate app and the telemedical advice and treatment provided by Medgate are free of charge for all Sanitas customers. Please note that you may be charged for calling the Medgate hotline depending on your telecommunications provider.

For customers who take out the Compact One plan or a telemedicine model for basic insurance, Medgate is always the first point of contact for medical queries. Use of the app is particularly recommended for these customers.
