Reduce or increase the deductible for basic insurance

You can change your deductible effective 1 January each year. If you want to change your deductible, contact us by 30 November. Remember: the higher the deductible, the lower the premium. With a higher deductible you can save between CHF 140 and CHF 1,540 a year.

Adjust your annual deductible for basic insurance

  • Your deductible can only be changed with effect 1 January of the following year.
  • If you want to reduce your deductible, we must receive notification by 30 November or the last working day in November.
  • If you want to increase your deductible, we must receive notification by 31 December or the last working day in December.

Transfer to an alternative insurance model

You can transfer from a standard insurance plan with a deductible of CHF 300 to an alternative insurance model (AIM) for basic insurance at the beginning of any month. It is only possible to transfer from one AIM to another AIM or to the standard model with effect from 1 January of the following year. In this case, we must receive notification by 30 November or the last working day in November.
